| Description | Tried extracting with 7-zip, files are extracted up to the file "compress_bitmaps.bat", then window pops up with "can not open output file C:\path, etc filename" for a total of 17 files, including the main .exe file plus a bunch of .dll files. Any help would be appreciated, I tried re-downloading the file (df_34_11_win.zip) to no avail. Thanks. | ||||

To which directory did you attempt to extract Dwarf Fortress? If you tried extracting to the root of your C: drive, it's possible that it failed because you don't have permission to write to that folder - if this is the case, extracting to your Desktop might be more successful. |

Thank you Quiet. I made a DF directory on my desktop and it worked like a charm. Consider this problem resolved. |
