| Summary | 0006381: Dwarves stand on top of some walls when constructing, then cancel/suspend do to blocking their own site |
|---|
| Description | I'm building an elevated archery range / watchtower above my fort's entrance, but my dwarves are having trouble constructing the walls. Most are taken care of with no problems, but there are a few squares near the corners of the construction site that the dwarves will almost always stand on top of when building - and then will suspend construction because a creature, i.e. themselves, is blocking the construction site! If I order a long wall segment built with the problem site in the middle (so there are unbuilt walls extending beyond the structure I want, which I then suspend), sometimes (but not always) it will be constructed normally. With one site I had to resort to removing the ground the wall was being built over so that standing on the site was no longer an option. |
|---|
| Steps To Reproduce | I have not tried to reproduce this in a different file or in different locations. In the specific sites in question it was pretty persistent though. |
|---|
| Additional Information | I also noticed that dwarves no longer follow the same "left-hand rule" they used to for constructions, deconstructions, and mining - possibly a bug in however this was reworked? |
