Summary | 0006392: Water in 2nd cavern is missing in 'chunk' above demon temple on embark.
Description | While checking out this embark location, I noticed that there was an odd chunk of water missing right above the demon fort. It just causes some minor lag that will go away once it fills up. Also, while not intended to be part of the bug report, is the floor coming off of the top of the trans-cavern passageway supposed to do be there?
Steps To Reproduce | A slight note in reproducibility, this is the first time I've embarked on a demon fort, so I don't know whether it's reproducible in other embark sites, but it's there every time I embark on this. Here is the save with the view centered on it: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=8175 Just unpause.

Just an update to this. Some years later when I finally got around to exploring the lower cavern sections, I noticed that the side of the glitched chunk was acting like a drain rather than a source. I used DFhack after this save to plug it up and stop the FPS drain. http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=8192 Also, if you try to explore the top left corner of the third cavern level, a bit of the corner up there does not reveal itself for some odd reason. |
