| Summary | 0006430: Piston splits in half. | ||||
| Description | Whenever I drop my piston a 1x15 line near the middle of the piston disappears and the lava escapes back down trough the crack. More in the forum thread: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=135952.0 I have importing my save into multiple different "installations" of DF and it didn't work. Here's the save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=8380 | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Create a piston with the same layout as mine and drop it. | ||||

For those who aren't familiar with the terminology used on the forums, the reporter here is referring to something called a "magma piston", which is just a large block of natural stone dropped down into a pool of magma in order to displace the magma upward. In other words, dropping a large chunk of natural stone down a number of Z-levels is apparently causing it to split into multiple pieces. Judging from an old movie on DFMA (http://mkv25.net/dfma/movie-1105-plugginganaquiferwithacavein), this issue dates back to version 0.28.181.40d. |
