This happen edge with 100% of my sparring in admittedly limited testing.

This happens with 100% of my combat reports. I have had 3 squads alternating sparring for >2 years, and all announcements have been as combat.

40.04. Really annoying, and a potential fortress killer. I keep track of that red C to know when my dwarves are under attack.
