Summary | 0007295: Site has many barons/baronesses
Description | Arrived with adventurer at dwarven fortress. It has multiple barons/baronesses. I looked up some of them in Legends (in a separate copy of the save), and found that some had been appointed and migrated within few years of each other, without the former dying or otherwise losing their position. And some had been appointed and migrated within the two weeks of calendar update (early spring 250).
Steps To Reproduce | Unknown
Additional Information | Windows SDL version. The world_gen file was customized with PerfectWorldDF (which should not affect civilizations). I am apparently not the first with many nobles: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=140587.0 (mentioned in OP) Save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=8971

I think I figured out what is happening here. I play humans and what I've noticed in fortress mode is that when a lord or lady dies from another site, their children/heir happens to be at the player's site. It then elevates them to lord/lady of the player's site, but they never leave to attend to their own site. This then seems to prevent the player from selecting their own site ruler if they hadn't already (which may be intended if the other lineage lost their site, but having the player lose control of that sort of thing probably isn't good), but it ends up creating two (or more!) site rulers if the player already had one. I know player sites don't have emigration yet, but it seems there's something wrong with inheritance/travel after world gen. |

Save (obviously modded): http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=9248 Jal Gorhaxkadest (currently a mason), newly created lord, inherited from mother, Iqua Allecegad, who was previously listed as a lady of another site on the civ screen. Player site already had a player-elected lord, Etus Ciroas. |

In the report save, all of the mid-level nobles in those two rooms are barons/baronesses from different sites. I've changed the display so that instead of "<title>" it puts "<title> of <site>" whenever possible (there are a few places where it doesn't have enough information saved, like historical events). I know I've fixed at least one bug that caused them to be unable to leave for their destinations in world gen/calendar mode, but there are probably still some issues that cause clustering. |
