| Description | I've been trying to get my dwarves to fill a well. I marked the pond as a "Pond" activity zone and marked some pools as water sources. Dwarves will pick up an empty bucket, go to the well to "Fill Pond", stand there for a few seconds, and then return the empty bucket to the stockpile. I think what is happening is that they are going to the well to get water to fill the pond, and then filling the well (which is the pond). I tried setting the pool under the well as the pond, but after exhausting closer water sources they went to the well, took water, and used it to fill the pool. That's another more complex issue though. This makes it very hard to fill the well properly. Here's a save that has this occurring. You can watch the dwarves go to the well and back over and over without ever carrying any water. | ||||

This happened in the previous version where if you had a well and you tried filling the well, they'd use the well to fill up the well and you see where this is going. |
