Summary | 0007892: Tree Growing in mid air
Description | On my most recent embark, I decided to dig down from the surface many levels above my mountain home to make and "outdoor" farm inside my fortress (open to the air). All proceeded as planned, though a tree did have to be cut down to make space from the shaft. Imagine my surprise a few seasons in when I happened to be looking around the map to find that at the top of the shaft for my farm, a tree had started growing in thin air. A short while later, the universe apparently realised that this was, in fact, not possible, and the tree promptly collapsed about 7 z-levels onto my farmers and killed one. A few seasons after that, it happened again. This time, no one was killed, however it broke right though my farm floor and crashed into what was at the time my interim burial ground. This fort has since been lost due to undead causing a tantrum spiral, and thus I do not think I can share the save. I do not know if this is easily reproducible.
