Summary0007936: Crash when pressing Esc on embark (site chooser) screen and adventure mode menu screen
DescriptionWhenever you press Esc on those two screens, the game forcequits. No error messages or any notification at all, it just... stops.
Steps To Reproduce1. Generate a world.
2. Enter Dwarf Fortress embark screen.
3. Press Esc
4. Crassssshhhh!
Additional InformationIt appears to have something to do with the calendar advancing. This doesn't happen seemingly, when exiting Legends, Arena, or saving a game.

 I confirm, after creating a world, whenever i go to play a Dwarf Fortress or Adventure , if after it loaded i press ESC, it will just crash without error message

Does not happen if i press ESC in the Legends though

problem didn't happened on 40.06

In my case it happens only in embark menu. Fortress and Adventurer are ok.
i play on Mac OS 10.9

 In case it can help and the source of the crash may be different for some people, i uploaded my save :

(world is generated in 40.07)

On main menu with this save, click on Start Playing
Choose either Dwarf Fortress or Adventurer mode
Wait until the world update is completed
Press ESC, it should crash.

 In both of the worlds I've tried it crashes in the Embark screen (picking site for Fort mode) when pressing ESC but not in Legends mode. I haven't tried Adv mode yet. Win7 64bit, vanilla DF0.40.07.

 Successfully reproduced from the site selection screen and from the "prepare for the journey carefully" screen in MacOS X 10.7.5. Does not occur when pressing Esc to view search results from the site finder.
