Summary | 0007946: Tantruming dwarves perform dozens of fistfights/throws in a second
Description | First occurrence, with throwing only: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=15096.msg5541595#msg5541595 A dwarf throws 189 things during a single tantrum, going from miserable (0) to ecstatic (631). Unfortunately, I didn't keep the save. An attempt to reproduce it had a dwarf go from miserable (0) to ecstatic (987) in seconds with "enjoyed throwing something lately" x41 and "enjoyed starting a fist fight lately" x56. Happiness numbers are from Dwarf Therapist, but it's not a DT issue because the ingame display also shows the dwarves as ecstatic and having increased skill levels from the throwing and fighting. The raws are modded for dwarves to walk ten times as fast and for no fliers.
Steps To Reproduce | Lock dwarves in a bare room with throwable things and miasma, and if it isn't enough kill off some of their friends. It might not happen immediately - on the second try, it took six dwarves.

Is it reproducible without the walking-speed mod? Does it depend on whether you're designating stuff, like in 0001697? |
Isn't 0001697 resolved? I'll try unmodding the raws and trying again, though with the combat/walking speed split it's unlikely that throwing and walking would be related. |
First tantrum of the new unmodded fort, "enjoyed throwing something lately" x6 and "enjoyed starting a fist fight lately" x21. Unfortunately, a bunch of babies were born because the new copy didn't have its child cap set and cheered everyone up so I couldn't continue. It's possible that the walking-speed mod made it more obvious, or that I only noticed the most obvious case out of many for the previous forts. Does that work, or should I try again? |
0001697 had a lot of different manifestations -- I'm not whether they were all fixed. |
Oh, I made sure not to open the designation screen during this one. |
