Summary | 0000798: Wooden door not destroyed by magma in same tile
Description | A black-cap door was not destroyed by 7/7 magma flowing into the tunnel the door was built in. After waiting a while for the door to be destroyed, I ordered a dwarf to remove it instead. The deconstructed door lying on the tunnel floor was quickly destroyed by the magma.

funny as this is, this is expected behavior consistent with 40d. |
|
In 40d, magma entering the same tile as a non-magma-safe door, pump station, or floodgate will eventually deconstruct that structure and then destroy the non-magma-safe item. This is further true for Statues, Supports, Traps, and a host of other items from which doors are not exempt. I verified this accidentally when I used a Kaolinite floodgate in a critical section of pumping hardware. |
