Summary | 0008037: Spontaneous coronation
Description | So, I started up the game, and a werebear showed up and mauled a Clerk. I wasn't too fussed, until I noticed that I didn't have a manager. The clerk had actually been my manager. A shame. Then I noticed that there was a king among us, and it was the bookkeeper. WTF. I check, and sure enough, the bookkeeper is now a king, and still a bookkeeper. For the record, my fortress has about 30-some dwarves. This was our first casualty, and we haven't even picked up a mayor yet, let alone a baron. Also, the king is actually one of the original seven, he didn't come with a wave of migrants.
Steps To Reproduce | I'm really not sure. Kill one of the lesser nobles and see what happens?
Additional Information | If this is already reported, my apologies. I'm relatively new to this system.

Duplicate of 0006874 Your civ is dead, and your 30-some dwarves are the last. Quote from Toady: >This is intentional, but I didn't add the announcement to all of the circumstances. I've tried to catch as many as I could now, with appropriate sentences. I'll also consider an embark warning if it is practical. |
