Please do not report bugs in old versions of Dwarf Fortress - the latest version is 0.40.13, and for all we know, the bug you are experiencing has already been fixed. |

In addition, you most likely have TwbT enabled, which has been known to cause crashes like this. Please reopen this report if you can reproduce this problem in 0.40.13+ without TwbT (or other utilities). |
