| Summary | 0008510: Endless "Cancelled drink: Well dry" spam. Nobody does anything else. | ||||
| Description | The well ran out of water. Everybody got thirsty. Everybody was constantly running to the well to drink, then cancelling drink job. They were all so busy failing to drink that nobody would walk two steps to the pump to put fresh water in the well. Nor would they dismantle the well. Forbidding the well freed them from their loop. | ||||
| Additional Information | Maybe there should be a short break after a 'cancels drink' before thirsty dwarves try again? | ||||

Save file: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10028 Note that there was one guy who wasn't thirsty and had 'operate pump' at one point. I kicked him, specifically, off the job and stuck him in a stockade. I ran from the save I'm uploading for three game days and nobody else took it. They were all too busy failing to drink or doing other stuff. The log is just screen after screen of 'cancels drink' messages. Maybe dry wells could be removed from being a target for 'drink' jobs until filled after the first few cancelled attempts? You'd figure dwarves would let each other know about it. You could have a new thought: Urist McUrist was frustrated at a dry well recently. |
