| Description | Even when you have passed 50 dwarves a long time ago, the election for mayors will not start until you manually select a new expedition leader(for example when you realize that the current one has no social skills). The new leader will then automagically be elected mayor, and from then election will start on the normal basis. | ||||

A hopefully somewhat more conclusive save is here: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10049 As it turns out, elections instantly take place if any noble position is changed after passing the 50-dwarf-threshold. I tried assigning a hammerer and chief medical dwarf and replaced a broker. Each resulted in an instant election. The save is in the state before doing those changes so you can replicate the behaviour. I haven't tried what happens when you don't force an instant election, you might just get a mayor at the next regular election date (17 Hematite and often 17 Moonstone) like in earlier versions. |
