Summary | 0008549: Forgotten Beast Arrives With Migrants as Pet, Kills Everyone
Description | When my monarch arrived with her entourage, one member had a forgotten beast as a pet. Unlike most arrivals of forgotten beasts, this one wasn't announced since it was a member of the migrant wave. HOWEVER, that didn't stop it from killing almost all of the migrant wave before I noticed a lot of cancelled burial jobs.

Do you have the gamesave? If so, could you post it up to DFFD? Also, did you mod the game in any way? |
|
How do you know it was a pet? Did it have the white blinky cross thing that marks new migrants? |
|
As per smjjames' question, did you mod the game in any way? Also, if you have a savegame, please upload it (whole region folder) to the DFFD ( http://dffd.wimbli.com/ ) and post a link to it here. |

Sorry for the delay, gents. Been focusing on finishing my semester off. I looked at legends and while this forgotten beast (Efeye Necateili) is not specifically noted as being a pet, his legends info reads: "In the early spring... Efeye settled in Demonspike." "In the early spring... Efeye became a member of the West Anvils." "In the early spring... Efeye became a member of the Cave of Compassion." Now, I'm not using any mods outside of the Ironhand tileset. Below is the link: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10182 |

I've had something similar happen, although mine was a lot less fun. The monarch arrived, and with the entourage was a Kobold furnace operator. Curiously, this creature was listed under the pets/livestock tab of the units screen, but not under the animals tab of the Z screen. Additionally, it was not only possible to designate him for butchering through the units preference screen, but my butcher actually butchered him too... Going through Legends, this Kobold had absolutely nothing to do with my civilization prior to arriving at my fort. I'm not using any mods other than DFhack, which I've only used to clean up the map from time to time. |
