| Description | As said in the title, my dwarves won't pen/pasture any animals. When the embark started, they put most of the animals in their pastures, but not all of them. It still generated "Pen/Pasture [animal name]" jobs, but now it doesn't even generate jobs anymore. I've enabled Animal Care for several idle dwarves, but they're still not doing anything. | ||||

Is this bug still present in 0.40.20+? |

I transferred the save to 40.21 and waited about 5 minutes. Not a single dwarf put an animal in a pasture. |

Running 40.23 and the issue is there as well. If it helps, i noticed that if i remove the pasture and re-pasture the animals some dwarves move some animals back into it, but still not all. Edit: I was able to find a workaround. I make a new pasture, then assign 2 animals at a time to it, wait till they are pastured, and repeat. It seems if you assign too many animals at once it gets stuck. |

In the save, the relevant animals were all up in a tree. I put in some checks to prevent those jobs from being created and cancelling ones that have become a problem. |
