Summary | 0008662: Dwarves build suspended construction jobs
Description | I sometimes like to place construction jobs not actually intending them to be built -- as markers or as a way to avoid dwarves trapping themselves behind walls (dwarves will avoid standing on an existing construction job while building constructions). In the latest version dwarves always build constructions (I have seen this for walls and floors) even if they are suspended. I don't know exactly when this bug appeared --- I haven't played another version since 40.13 or thereabouts.

This does not reproduce for me. I brought stone, wood, and metal bars with my starting seven, designated a wall to be built, and suspended a few sections. Only the unsuspended sections were built. Then I unsuspended the remaining sections, waited for the dwarves to gather the materials, suspended them again, and the dwarves dropped what they were doing. Do you have a save that reliably reproduces this problem? If so, please upload it (whole region folder) to the DFFD ( http://dffd.wimbli.com/ ) and post a link to it here. Also, please post which DF version you are using. |

Reminder sent to: MrC Please upload a save that reproduces the problem to http://dffd.wimbli.com/ and post the link here. |

I still can't reproduce this for walls, but I managed to reproduce it for floors. Save at http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10385 . |
|
This was just happening for dwarves that chained from one job to the next, I think, which would complicate reproduction. |
