| Description | In arena and dwarf mode, *but not in adventure mode*, snow which didn't fall from the sky melts away piecemeal, regardless of the temperature. When about a quarter of the snow is gone it seems to stabilize. | ||||

DFHack claims that the temperature of all of the tiles I checked is 9991 (in-game) degrees, which is slightly below the freezing point of water. It is possible for snow to evaporate/sublime at these temperatures in real life, although the rate at which it's occurring in that save might be too fast. There's also a strange stuttering in that save, which could be due to temperature calculations, but I haven't investigated. |

I think it's more likely that the temperature being fixed at 9991 degrees is the bug, as I've yet to have a tundra or taiga embark in 0.40.24 that didn't have this issue. (I didn't try a freezing biome in 0.40.1-23 though, so it may have been around longer.) |
