Summary | 0008864: digging marker turns into digging designation when placing smoothing designation over it
Description | Tested in vanilla df. If you have part of a wall marked to be dug, then put smoothing designation over it, with starting and ending points on tiles without digging markers, the digging markers will turn into digging designations, rather than become smoothing designations or remaining unchanged.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Mark part of a wall to be dug, e.g. 1MM2, M = digging marker. 2. Designate smoothing from 1 to 2. 3. The wall turns into SDDS, S = smoothing designation, D = digging designation 4. What one would expect should be SSSS.
Additional Information | Probably related to 0008689. It's probable that smoothing stone designation can change a tile's designation/marker state but cannot change its designation type if there's already another designation on it, thus causing the problem.
