Summary | 0008925: Dwarves climb out of incomplete shafts, now shaft cannot be completed :(
Description | If a dwarf stops digging before a vertical shaft is completed, he will climb out. Which is fine, except noone will climb back down the shaft to finish the job.
Steps To Reproduce | Channel out a single tile, all the way down. A dwarf will start mining, but eventually takes a break and climbs out. The rest of the shaft is inaccessible, and will not be completed. To continue the shaft, another means of access must be provided.
Additional Information | Dwarves used to get stuck, and have to finish the job before they could take a break. Now they can climb, so..... http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=10782 is an example of a save which has a shaft which has been stopped several times, has horizontal corridors dug out to it at a couple of points to allow it to continue, but is still incomplete. But it crashes, so maybe not the best example? Haven't tried to reproduce under 0.40.24, but that's next on my agenda.
