Description | My idea for how weapons that have reach would behave is that the weapon user would only be able to use powerful attacks (stabbing and chopping) from one space away, and if the enemy closed they would be limited to weaker blunt haft and butt strikes. However, when an enemy tries to close with them, the long weapon user will attempt to impale them, which would stop them from moving forward and cause an attack that gains bonuses from both combatants' strength and has increased chances to stick in the wound. If an attack with a long weapon sticks in a wound, the weapon's user becomes unable to use any normal attacks except wrestling moves, including impaling attacks against other enemies, but their enemy will not be able to advance. Mindless enemies may attempt to move forward when impaled and cause more injury. |
