Description | [BABY_CHILD_CAP:8:20] is set in d_init.txt. Third migration wave brought at least 16 Dwarf children in 50 Dwarf migration wave, bringing total to 22 Dwarf children out of 60 total population. | ||||

Fourth migration wave of this save brought 10 more children, despite a reduction in the cap to [BABY_CHILD_CAP:7:10]. 32/80 population are now children. |

Text above this setting in d_init.txt says: "The cap only prevents further pregnancies, so migrant children, multiple births and existing pregnancies from old saves can still push you over the cap." So unless there are also new pregnancies in your fort it seems to work as intended. |

Ah, missed that. Strange though, because migrant children definitely seemed to be restricted in previous versions. I would never get more than ten children with that cap set, migrant or otherwise. I'm not sure what kept them away if it wasn't the cap. |
