Summary | 0009941: Magma crabs are not tamable despite possessing a pet value
Description | Self-explanatory. Magma crabs possess a pet value of 200 in their raws but are missing the necessary token to be tamable, meaning they cannot be used as pets at all.
Steps To Reproduce | Capture magma crab. Fail to tame it as it cannot be tamed.
Additional Information | Can be fixed by adding [PET_EXOTIC] to their raws.

Their pet value is actually used when you try to sell a caged wild magma crab to a caravan. They don't need to be tameable for that. |
|
No. Untamed creatures cannot be sold. If you order a cage containing an untamed creature (magma crab, wild turkey, or goblin) to be hauled to the trade depot the dorfs will remove the creature from the cage and then haul the empty cage to the trade depot. Giving creatures pet values without means to train them can be considered a way of future proofing the raw for a possible future change where you can convert a creature to a pet/familiar using magic. |
