Summary0001004: cant search mantis, df-bugreport-forum wont accept new posts
Descriptionits verry annoying to learn if a bug is already reported without any search funktion and the limited browsing compfort mantis offers.
caused by this, the mantis site is clutterd by duplicated entrys, and there is no place to talk about workarounds and such anymore.

What are you talking about? This system has a very robust search feature - click on "View Issues" and where it says "search" and "Apply Filter"...run with it.

Yeah there are quite a few different ways to filter and search.

The only real annoying things I've noticed are:

- You can't bookmark any search queries.
- Some search queries have caused an error and to fix you have to go through a link in "My View" to be able to remove the bad query.

yes thanks.
id like to have a forum to chat non the less, but well.. .guess that only wuld lead to confusions so im fine with the new system.
sry to bother you.

Yeah, it would have been nice if the tracker were more tightly integrated into the forum instead of having two separate logins. We looked at other approaches, like bug tracking plugins for the Simple Machines Forum software, and a "bridge" to connect Mantis to SMF, but none of it was stable/reliable.

When traffic on the forums/bay12 in general is very high I have trouble loading some Mantis pages entirely - sometimes the search/filter options will show up but the actual list of issues will not. I'm wondering if that's the cause of this issue.
