Summary | 0010282: digging an upwards ramp underneath a stockpile containing items drops the items without removing the floor they were sitting on
Description | I had part of a merchant caravan get hit by a thralling cloud, so the rest of the caravan ran for the map edge, and there were two piles of goods sitting on the ground from the mules that were directly hit. I wasn't sure how long it would take me to retrieve them, so I painted food stockpiles under them, then dug over to the area underground (so they could be retrieved with the absolute minimum amount of time outside). I designated an upwards ramp at the end of the tunnel, to drop the piles down to the first underground level, intending to then build a floor over the hole, which would then let my dwarves retrieve the items without being exposed to the weather. However, when the ramp was dug, the piles fell to the underground level, but the tile remained dark/inside/subterranean, and the floor overhead was still present. This appears to be the same behavior that prevents the floor under a bridge or other building from being removed ... but in that case I would have expected the loot to stay on the surface.
