| Summary | 0001030: Dwarf tries to equip itself with armour/weapons from coffins | ||||
| Description | One of my military dwarves gets the pickup equipment job, and goes to one of my coffins, the job is then canceled, he moves about one square away from it, gets the job again, and repeat until he gets a different job while moving away. This may have nothing to do with coffins at all, and be merely a random equip glitch, as there are cave spider silk gloves and cap on the same square as the coffin. However, he is set to wear leather armour and whatever melee weapon he can find, and i have no stockpiles of either of these, and the dwarf who was buried had leather armour and his pickaxe(he was a miner). To complicate this further, the dwarf in the coffin died inside a dwarf cage, and when they removed his body they didnt remove any other items, so he may have been buried with his pickaxe and armour, thus causing the confusion. | ||||

Designate all items on the tile in question for dumping. See if that resolves the issue. |

Try checking his "Pickup Equipment" job in the (j)obs menu -- that should tell you what he's going for. It's important for us to know whether he's going for the cap/gloves or the coffin contents. |

That dwarf's profession must be Adventurer. |
|

I never had the problem again, and the fortress failed due to forgotton beast. If I see the bug again i will update this. |
