| Summary | 0010450: Dwarfs returning from a raid count as newly arrived. | ||||
| Description | Dwarfs that were sent out on a raid and return from the latter have their original date of arrival at the fortress overwritten with the date of their return in the "Thoughts and preferences" menu. Of course there is nothing wrong with this statement since they indeed rearrived at the fortress but I guess it is not meant this way. If you are on a vacation trip and return home, that doesn't mark the date on which you start living at your home. | ||||

To add to this, any time a squad leaves the map all of its members are unassigned from their owned rooms, and they immediately drop their flasks and backpacks on return. |

Can confirm this - both that dates of return are overwritten, and that owned rooms are unclaimed and become empty (and claimable by others). (Didn't check about the flasks and backpacks). Likewise any assigned tombs are freed. |

Where are you seeing arrival dates? Is it something in DF, or just with utilities? |

The arrival dates are on the dwarves' description screen in vanilla DF: "She is a citizen of blah. She is a member of blah. She arrived at blah on the Nth of month, year." |

Sure enough. Either that's fairly new or I forgot about it. |

Discovered the hard way about the fact that it unassigns rooms. Damn, and I wanted to assign my militia commander my best room for all the badass shit they've done... |
