| Description | Strange bug - when I'm in town, my companion is "duplicated". But only in list, i.e. the duplicate is not standalone thing. If I leave the town - my companion began as one again. The companion was join to me in tavern of that town. My companion cap is 2. And while I'm in the town, no one can join me, because of duplicating first companion. http://rgho.st/6PmDs7qKD | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1) load save, see my companion list duplicating 2) leave the town, see as companion list became correct (1 companion) 3) go back to the town and see this bug again 4) go to any tavern and try to join somebody to the player, and see reject due to false >=2 companion count | ||||

Not sure if it's a related bug or a completely different one, but I have also experienced physical duplicates of people I met in a city sewer - and then just recently in 44.04 I left my hearth with two pairs of clones. The odd thing is that I hired them all at separate times so I know they were separate individuals from the start, not overlayed onto one another like described above (though I have experienced that a number of times as well). |

I described my case a little wrong. If I look into 'c' list, then my companion shown as one. But if I 'l'ook at my companion, there will be two of them. But only while in the town. |

Hi, though i noticed you attached a save already could you use the advised DFFD (dwarf fortress file depot) please for uploading files? http://dffd.bay12games.com/ Very interesting by the way, and it looks like this issue would need linking with other issue reports similarly about duplication. |

Its just a recommendation for clarity of what is being downloaded, im not moderation staff or anything just trying to help as generally DFFD is more trusted and can easily see typically zipped files or individual files for world saves. |

DFFD is hosted by Bay12, so long as Dwarf Fortress exists, so will DFFD. 10 years from now when someone tries to fix this problem, anything uploaded to a site other than DFFD has a good chance of no longer existing. Just mages sense to use the official tracker. Sorry for the derail... |

Another save with this not so great bug. http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=14208 "Here we have Edem and Edem". Recruit become double. To fix it in game. Travel outside of hillock. See Edem vanish in thin air. Check "C"- companions, so it only lists 5 companions, instead of 6. Then travel back to hillock. Find recruit. Cancel adventuring agreement. Sign a new adventuring agreement. |
