| Summary | 0010639: Hunter creates bone artifact but only becomes competent in bone carving | ||||
| Description | My Hunter, who happened to have had bonecarving enabled claimed a workshop during a strange mood (possession). He then crafted a unicorn bone pick, only to reach 'Competent Bone Carver', instead of the usual Legendary status. I'm not certain what his skill level was beforehand, though all other artifacts made, including a scepter made from a different craftdwarf workshop granted legendary skill status. | ||||
| Additional Information | Save: http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=13580 (DF-hack was originally used during world gen without any changed settings, was not actively used in active fort however.) From the gamelog: Urvad Ardes†blel, Hunter cancels Sleep: Taken by mood. Urvad Ardes†blel, Hunter has been possessed! Urvad Ardes†blel, Hunter has created Avanberdan, a unicorn bone pick! He claims it as a family heirloom. | ||||

Not a bug. See http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Strange_mood#Possessed. |

|
Yes, possession moods don't provide skill benefits. |
