| Summary | 0010692: Minecart is only filled with magma, when the cart stops | ||||
| Description | I designed several tracks with rollers and flooded them afterwards with 7/7 Magma. My dwarves push a cart into the tunnel, the cart is moved to the other side and pushed out, but does not contain any magma. If i use a lever to power the roller, the cart stops and is filled almost instantly. Using the lever requires a lot of (micro)management. I know there are other solutions, but i wanted a solution that feels realistic. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | XXX X╤XX <- channel up X╤*X <- Roller speed medium, magma safe gear assembly X╤*X <- Roller speed low, magma safe gear assembly X╤X X╤X X╤X X╤X X╤X <-channel up XXX | ||||
| Additional Information | The longest tunnel i build was two medium speed rollers and 10 low speed rollers. | ||||

Minecarts won't fill with liquid when moving too fast; to my knowledge this is intentional. Try dropping your carts into your magma channel instead. You can find details on the wiki ( http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Minecart#Loading_liquids ) and functional designs in the forums ( http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=119430.msg3809865#msg3809865 ). |
