Summary0010846: Dwarves are becoming starving and dehydrated despite abundant food and drink stocks.
DescriptionDwarves will be going about their normal business but will become dehydrated and starving despite the fortress having more than enough food and drink. Even when they become idle they make no effort to seek out food or drink. Some have even gone as far as hunting vermin for food. No burrows have been assigned. There is also cancellation spam regarding 'give water' jobs, despite there being multiple unused buckets and a designated water source. No hospital has been set up and there are no injuries beyond dwarves being starving and dehydrated so I can only assume that this is related to the issue somehow.
Additional InformationThe only mod I'm using is DFHack version 0.44.12-r1

Also, this is my first time submitting a bug report so I'm just guessing as to the proper severity and priority of this bug. If I classified it wrong please let me know.

Problems of this sort are usually player-error: disconnecting a portion of the fortress by removing stairs, building workshops, etc.

Please upload a save demonstrating the problem to DFFD ( http://dffd.bay12games.com/ ) and post a link here. Thanks!

On the level above you replaced your dug down-stairs with constructed up-stairs, preventing access to the lower levels of your fortress. Removing the constructed up-stairs allows your dwarves to reach food and drink. You can construct up/down-stairs to allow access both above and below.

And for the record, we don't care about the priority or severity fields, although selecting "crash" for crashes is good.
