Summary | 0010987: Dwarves overencumber themselves with jewelry
Description | Pretty self-explanatory - Dwarves love picking up various crafts and jewelry you make and wearing them, but they don't seem to take into account the items' weight and happily carry around enough bling to overencumber themselves, refusing to store their items in containers, forever moving at a snail's pace. Lor Mörulïlon, a dwarven mechanic in the save provided, is carrying/wearing jewelry with a combined weight of 126, 116 of which comes from scepters and figurines held in her right hand, which she refuses to store in a container, even when given a room containing empty chests in a test (normally she only owns a single cabinet). Only known temporary fix for this (that I am aware of), is to assign said dwarf to a squad and send them on a raid. The dwarves that leave the map unclaim all their posessions. A more permanent solution is to assign dwarves like this to a squad and force them to wear a uniform that doesn't include jewelry. However, both of these solutions are rather undesirable, dwarves should be storing their items in chests/cabinets, if their weight is encumbering them. Or at the very least, they should not be carrying five scepters/figurines in one hand.

This is pretty funny, i can't help but poke fun ( https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/05/12/article-1180911-004796B400000258-960_468x324.jpg ) But at the same time, this would actively discourage making crafts out of heavy metals, and the OP is sensible with their assumption to put items in chests since they put other abstract items (figurines etc) in there too. |
