Summary0001132: Farmers Not Utilizing Full Farm
DescriptionAfter irrigating an underground plot and building an approx. 4x5 farm, dwarves would only plant seeds on two tiles in the upper left corner. (See below). This seems to be due to one tile below these two being unmuddied, rendering the other (muddy) tiles after it useless.

eg:

=~~~
=~~~
.~~~
~~~~
~~~~

= - planted farm tile
~ - muddy clay farm tile
. - not muddy clay farm tile

This persisted for a long game period (months), until I experimented with further irrigation - as soon as the troublesome plot became muddy the rest of the tiles were usable.

It looks like the unmuddy tile was the next in line to be furrowed, but because that wasn't possible dwarves were stopping the job entirely and not looking at the rest of the field.

It was generally a very confusing thing because in-game there was no visual difference between the one unmuddied plot tile and the others. I only figured it out by a chance examination of the tiles.

Cheers!
