Description | As the summary suggest, when you open the thoughts screen of certain units the game forcibly closes. Nothing gets logged in the errorlog. There are several bugged units, but the ones I remember from the top was the weaponsmith and the expedition leader. Save file: https://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=15529 | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | Download save file Run game Go to expedition leader and try to access thoughts screen through z-Enter It also happens to several of the other units, some of them crash on the z screen. | ||||
Additional Information | All of this is unrelated maybe, but the first sign of something wrong in this game was monster slayers showing up and not petitioning. The first slayer (human swordswoman) appeared and petitioned, as normal. Then I created a temple from a zone, which was the first gathering area after the wagon. Subsequent slayer went straight to the temple, and never petitioned or went down to the caves, even after the temple zone was deleted. Two more slayers showed up, showing the same behavior, just hanging around the meeting areas and chatting with the locals, without ever attempting to meet with the expedition leader. I tried giving the expedition leader an assigned chair several times, to no avail. The outpost liaison succesfully met with the expedition leader, no problem. | ||||

Well, after having the first monster slayer stuck I deleted the zone and retired the temple, but if the temple had already bugged him and there's a queue for petitions then I can see how that created the problem. Nevertheless, all of this is unrelated to the reported, reproduceable bug that's causing crashes when opening the screen of certain dwarves. |
