| Description | This issue occurs even when the game is paused and no visible creatures/items are displayed (hidden underground tiles only). I run the game through Valve's Proton utility, but confirmed with Windows users that the issue happens to them as well. I also tested a 1x1 embark to see if the quantity of tiles had something to do with it, and my frame rate still dropped to <4fps, so apparently not? I have an older desktop (2015 i7, upgraded graphics to GeForce 2060 RTX) and a newer laptop (newish i7 11th gen? GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU). I don't get a crash like in the discord link, but an extreme graphical FPS drop like in the Summary of this issue and it only happens on the laptop not the desktop. Laptop GFPS drops to 4 which causes input lag; desktop GFPS drops to 15 which doesn't cause performance issues. This is on 50.11 and occurs with DFHack installed or uninstalled. |
