Summary0001218: Dead dwarves that died while resting continue to have the "Rest" job in the Unit Job screen
DescriptionI recently had a bit of "fun" with a forgotten beast. Needless to say many dwarves died, especially those in the hospital. Upon checking out the Jobs screen I noticed several dwarves were still "Resting" despite being quite dead. Not only that, but one dwarf was listed multiple times as having the Rest job.

On the surface this might seem like the most inconsequential bug in the world. However, I wonder if this is indicative of a bigger problem with how the game treats "Resting" as a job, and may very well be related to 0000351 among others

A save might be useful for this one.

I cannot reproduce this. I dropped a floor on top of a dwarf who was resting in the hospital, and I don't see any "Rest" jobs on either the unit list or the job list (since there were no other injured dwarves at that point).

I should be able to produce a save sometime soon. It was unfortunately on a fort that later completely died (for 100% relevant reasons) but I think I backed it up.

Argh, I didn't back it up after all

I'm not sure if it was relevant, but I'm pretty sure the dwarves who had a stuck "Rest" job were not KILLED, but rather, died from their wounds or of starvation/dehydration. I also believe the stuck dwarves were also not in beds but on the hospital floor.

Many of their deaths were due to infection as the forgotten beast that sent them to that very hospital breathed some pretty nasty stuff.

I'll try to recreate this again on my own end.

I haven't seen this again. Nor has anyone else it seems.

I believe we can mark this as unable to reproduce.

Okay. Thanks for the followup!
