| Summary | 0012648: War Dogs attack friendly visitors during combat elsewhere on map | ||||
| Description | I have approximately 50 war dogs. Most are no longer assigned to anyone. If my dwarves enter combat anywhere on the map (siege on the surface, demons/angels 80 levels below, doesn't matter where), War Dogs will start to attack friendly visitors (bards, scholars, barons) until dead. Visitors rarely fight back, they mostly run/avoid contact. The War Dogs can be anywhere in the fort and nowhere near the combat. Military Dwarves getting in combat with a single hostile target near the edge of the map will immediately trigger dogs inside the fort to start attacking friendlies and usually ends in dogs killing a few bards/barons of usually the same civilization. | ||||

@Bumber thanks for that. I hunted and hunted for similar pet related weirdness and found nothing. Adding link for save file as well: https://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=16944 Reproduce in save: Have a dwarf attack any hostile entity. Watch the unrelated attack reports flow in. The listed save is still under the affects of barons running around being attacked by dogs and frightening/interrupting others. they're then seen as aggressive by military dwarves that attack them. Running fix/loyaltycascade in DFHack says no loyalty cascade found. |
