Summary | 0012683: Inputting the same seeds produces a different world history. | ||||
Description | Inputting a set Seed, History Seed, Name Seed and Creature Seed results in a world with the same terrain but a wildly different history. I tried it three times with these seeds: Seed: 7r7PMXTcRpGOm0WcdEPZ History Seed: nLU24FBb4O0dfJx8J41C Name Seed: hu4ziFh5x2qxgON66AdZ Creature Seed: GnkqYgrT4kOblFJsBVzy And here are the results (note that the terrain is all the same, but the position of civs and towers is different) https://imgur.com/a/JpCniMn | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Make a world in detailed mode and save the settings you used for it. 2. Grab the seeds from gamelog.txt (game root folder). 3. Select the saved preset and input the seeds into their respective positions. 4. Generate the world. | ||||

I tested your worldset in the latest experimental build (50.12-beta17), and i can confirm it's still present. |

Bandit camps and megabeast lairs are different every time The rhythm systems in musical forms are also different |

Confirmed present in 50.12 saves + exports: https://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=17028 Both saves were generated using identical world params (medium island, all seeds named 'Test', end year set to 2). Same as before: initial camp & lair sites + rhythm descriptions in musical forms differ in each save. Monsters gain different entity enemy links due to random lair coords. |
