Product Version | 0.31.03
Summary | 0001269: [Dwarf] cancels [job]: needs [something]
Description | In the smelter, if I chose to smelt a metal ore, even if I have plenty of it around every corner from my fortress, the game says "[Dwarf] cancels Smelt [metal] Ore: Needs [metal] Ore". In the jeweler's workshop, the same thing happens when I give order to cut gems. This seems to happen randomly. Perhaps it's a pathfinding problem? This was also happening in version 0.31.01. Didn't try in 0.31.02.
Steps To Reproduce | The only things I changed in the init.txt were AUTOSAVE (to seasonal), tiles size (to 12x12), the showing of liquid level, and that's all. No mods being used at all.

Is this a fresh fortress in .03? Just woundering if pathing issues may of carried over to the new version. Also of note is this showing up in the format of: [Dwarf] cancels Smelt [metal] Ore: Needs [Number] [metal] Ore. In which case it is a duplicate/child of 0000040 or 0000063 |
No, it's a fortress from 0.31.01, which, because of this bug, I sent to 0.31.03 to try to fix it. And no, it's showing no [Number]. |
There is a problem with smelters assigned to burrows, is yours in a burrow? |
No, it's not. Neither is the jeweler's workshop. |
Might be helpful to upload a save for this one. http://dffd.wimbli.com/ |
Reminder sent to: granite Are you able to provide further information or a save on this bug? I know it is from long ago, but if we can't get a save or enough information to reproduce, I'll most likely close it. Thanks! |
Anyone else ever have this happen that wasn't explained by burrow errors or 0000063? |
Without further information or reply from the OP and no support from other reporters, I'm marking this as unable to reproduce. OP could very well have had those items forbidden which would generate the cancellation messages of that format. |
