are you using a knife (0000378)? |

I don't remember assigning knives to anyone, but I've confused several times with the military screen, so maybe by accident? In any case, it doesn't look like 0000378, as the game crashes when I press 'm' (military screen is unaccessible), not when selecting a sub-tab of the military screen. |

I believe it is the same, because the problem squad is the first squad on the list, which is what is selected when the military screen is open. Check here for details and a workaround: http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=53371.0. I know the workaround works because I tried it on your save. In any case, this is a duplicate of 0001063 and 0001228, which are children of 0000378, though they are all the same bug. |

make sure nobody has a knife. Verify that you are running version 0.31.03. the knife bug is the only open crash bug in the military right now, the others got patched out with 0.31.03. Until you verify that this is not caused by one pesky dwarf wielding a dagger, I'm not going to waste any more time thinking about this one. |

With the fixes to the military in updated versions (31.12 and above), this crash has probably become obsolete at some point. I loaded the save in 31.12 and am not getting a crash. R1, if you are able to reproduce this crash in a current version, please reopen this report and post your findings (along with another save). |
