Summary0012944: Visitors released from build cage appear in new cage
DescriptionWhen I release a prisoner from a cage either by building it and then unassigning them or by attaching and pulling a lever, they are released from the cage and appear in a new cage (strangely the new cage will be one quality tier lower unless the original cage was already common). I was using green glass terraria, and the visitors were caught by webbed cage traps while trying to leave the fortress.
Steps To ReproduceConstruct a webbed cage trap (I was using forgotten beast webs, rock salt mechanisms, and green glass terraria, but I doubt that matters) and a temple/tavern/library to lure visitors, then block off all exits to the fortress once they arrive, leaving them no other path to exit but over the webbed trap. Construct the cage, then unassign the visitor.
Additional InformationCitizens and pets don't have this issue, they appear as a free unit as expected. I havn't tried on invaders because I don't want to release any of them into the fortress. Workaround has been to sacrifice the stuck visitors to the bridge god, or using them to duplicate cages. The cage they leave behind can be deconstructed and used without issue, and the bug is repeatable, allowing for the creation of infinite free cages. An adamantine cage could in theory be used to easily duplicate adamantine in this way, so I've been thinking about just keeping this to myself. Please don't fix.

In older versions it was "normal" for non-"tame" creatures unassigned from a built cage to be automatically transferred into new cages (a worker will actually carry an empty cage to the built one, insert the creature into it, then haul it off to a stockpile), but this did not create cages out of thin air (it took them from your stockpiles and would cancel the job if you ran out) and it definitely should not happen if you pull a lever linked to the built cage.

Are you absolutely certain that this happened when using a linked lever to open the cage?
