Summary | 0013117: Seasonal plants slowly fills up the world with dead plants
Description | 5 years into my fortress, I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of dead pig tails and stuff in the cavern, but I only realized that there was an issue when reading this mod's comments: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2898438840 Darkweave reported that dead plants will remain on the surface for years and years, which is a problem for plants that are expected to die off every year.
Steps To Reproduce | Run a fortress for at least 4 years to see the cavern fill up with dead plants Optional: Remove [WINTER] from all aboveground crops, wait 4 years, dead plants all over the surface

Over time, new shrubs and saplings should grow on top of dead plants and replace them (as I originally observed in 0003807, where certain forms of regrowth could lead to unexpected job cancellations), and any creature with non-zero GRASSTRAMPLE might trample some of them away as well. |
