There might be some items relating to Dwarf Fortress in the Event Viewer. If so, try posting them here.

There is nothing related to DF in the Event Viewer. Only if I stop the application an event is created.

I had a similar issue. It required me to have steam dump its download cache, and verify DF to fix it. if you are using DF Hack, you will also need to run a repair on Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 redistributable, and restart your PC.

Doesn't help in any way. Still the same issue.

I am having the same issue, I have tried everything and nothing seems to be working. I boot up the game, it runs for a couple seconds, then the visuals completely lock up, I am able to alt tab out and everything but just doesn't visually respond. The audio continues as usual, but nothing happens, have to kill it in Task Manager.

Edit: I found a solution to my problem. I am running a 6750xt card, it has a feature called Radeon Anti-Lag, for some reason, disabling it made everything work. I tried enabling it and it broke, then disabling fixed it again, so that was clearly the problem for me. It adjusts the frame timing, so if Nvidia has a similar feature, try disabling that if you are on team green.
