Summary | 0013170: Classic/Premium save game incompatibility
Description | My understanding from the wiki (https://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/Save_compatibility) is that saves are supposed to work between the classic and premium versions of DF. I tried to move a new v51.11 save from classic over to Premium, but it gets stuck on the loading screen on "Sorting Interactions" I will attach the save to the ticket, as long as it lets me upload it...
Steps To Reproduce | Load save in DF Premium v51.11 - fails Load save in DF Classic v51.11 - succeeds

This is a problem with differences in vanilla_music between the two. Hmm. There's probably a more elegant way to fix this than just telling people to manually change their vanilla_music back and forth. But that will, in fact, work, just copy in vanilla_music from classic if you want to play that save. |

Just to confirm... copy the contents of data\vanilla\vanilla_music from the classic distribution to the steam one? That seems to have worked - and (thankfully) a different game created on the premium version still loads. I appreciate the workaround. Hopefully this can be fixed in the distribution with 51.12 or whatever. |
