Summary0013321: Dwarves holding babies will sometimes stop moving or eating after completing a job, such as stonecutting
DescriptionAfter assigning a large group of dwarves to smooth out walls and floors, one dwarf holding a baby that was not theirs died of dehydration. Another dwarf next to them, also holding a baby that was not theirs, was starving and dehydrated as well. The dwarves do not move, though they still have thoughts and desires. Once they die, the babies move and react as normal.
Steps To ReproduceAssign a dwarf holding a baby to the stonecutting job.
Direct them to begin smoothing walls and floors
When completed, they will not move including to eat or drink, resulting in their death.

rumrusher and some other lovely folk in the Kitfox discord have suggested that this is due to the baby taking control of the mothers movement in some way, and that it could be a direct result of "making carrying the wounded more reliable." Figured I'd add that here for clarity.
