| Summary | 0013405: Fire imps lose heat over time | ||||
| Description | Apparently, unlike fire snakes and magma men, fire imps lack the [FIXED_TEMP:n] token despite being covered in flames as per its description: "A small humanoid surrounded by fire which they can hurl at their enemies." Although they have [HOMEOTHERM:10095], after an extended period outside of magma, their body temperature would eventually drop to some point lower than even regular dwarves. Because of this, they do not raise the temperature of the tiles they're on (or the surrounding tiles) once they've cooled down. Since it's supposed to be covered in flames, they should logically remain hot enough to melt fat even when they're outside of magma. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Catch a fire imp. 2. Keep it alive somewhere outside magma for an extended amount of time (months? years?) 3. Check its temperature. | ||||
| Additional Information | Another user reported that spawning fire imps in the Arena do not generate heat in their tile and surrounding tiles either; this might be because they didn't start out from inside magma as they normally do in fortress mode. | ||||
