| Summary | 0013472: Trade goods in some shops do not appear in trade screen when talking to shopkeeper | ||||
| Description | Inside some shops in towns, trade goods will be visible and labeled with dollar signs as $available for trade$, but choosing the "Trade or settle debts" option in conversation with a shopkeeper will open a trade screen in which the shopkeeper's side is empty. As an example, I provide the following saved game: https://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=17747 In this save, the adventurer is in an armorsmith's shop on the east side of a north-south street. There are two items for sale in the shop, but none appears in the trade screen when talking to either shopkeeper. You will also see this bug in many but not all nearby shops. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. In adventure mode, travel to a town. 2. Visit a shop that is stocked with goods marked for sale. 3. Talk to a shopkeeper and ask to trade. If the shopkeeper's side of the trade screen is empty, you have reproduced the bug. If not, leave the shop and repeat the procedure, starting at step 2. | ||||
| Additional Information | In the attached save, I have seen this bug happen in three different towns. It does not seem to be related to the shopkeeper's entity membership, or the location of the shop's coin chest. In the neighborhood shown in the save file, the bug seems to affect shops with west-facing or north-facing entrances, but I am not sure if that pattern exists everywhere. | ||||
