| Description | When in help mode if the window is resized the text is not reformatted. This is not a big deal if the window is made wider. However if the window is made narrower the text will go off the screen and not be wrapped. This prevents the end of lines from being read. Also the previous help screen is affected by this problem when it is returned to. This could be fixed by rending the help screen when the window size changes. | ||||

By "resizing" do you mean switching between windowed and fullscreen? Also, what DF version are you using? (and why'd you leave the version field blank?) |

Reminder sent to: lotu Are you able to reproduce this bug in a current version (31.12 or above)? I believe this issue may have been fixed. I followed your steps and the text is properly scaled with the window. (I use Windows VISTA - please try to reproduce this under you OS). |

31.12 When resizing window by dragging during intro causes A- default size animated scene in larger window with black borders B- total scrambling resulting in character hash/mash...with diagonal pattern. Not important, but thought I'd just mention it. |

I tried this again with 31.25 and got it to reproduce. It doesn't seem to happen all the time, so it appears there is some threshold you have to cross on how small/large the window gets before this appears. I went back to 31.13 (currently the earliest version with SDL avaialable for download) and got it to reproduce also, so I must have missed it in the earlier assessment. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac11/Mondoshawan/helptextwrap.png Areyar, this report is technically for the help screen; there is a relation to the Legends mode also - if you can't find a report for the intro screen, please report that in its own report. |

The "text viewer" viewscreen formats all of its contents line-by-line the moment it opens, and it doesn't "reflow" the text later if the window happens to be resized. |
