Summary0001450: Dwarves will not harvest bushes or cut trees after a period of time.
DescriptionProblem:
After a while, dwarves stop gathering plants and cutting trees. Dwarves have both labors enabled, and engaged in the desired environmental destruction at first. It has been some years now.
Steps To ReproducePlay DF for about 20 hours. Maybe more. It is the year 1055, vanilla DF.
Additional InformationI currently have about 110 dwarves, and have breached three caverns and a magma sea. There were some pathing issues digging down into the third cavern. Dwarves are responding sluggishly (disregarding my 20fps), with many having 'no job' but not idle. About half of my dwarves are in the military, but not on duty or practice. My fortress is a 4x4 embark site, iirc, and currently spans a little over 100 z-levels. Please email me at robertsdavidddr@gmail.com for a save. I don't see an 'upload' box.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/ <= You can upload the save here. Have you tried ordering your military to move to the areas where the designations are being ignored? If they refuse to move there, but will still move to other locations, it's probably a pathing problem -- see 0001319 and 0001381.

The idlers may be related to 0000605.

It might be a pathing problem, although the military can find it's way wherever I've designated plant gathering. Most of the plants are in my main fortress, and have dwarves walking by each day. I doubt it is related to either 1319 or 1381, but the 605 bug is almost certainly an issue... I suspect it may be THE issue.

The save game may be downloaded at http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2211

It seems to be only bug 0605, and not a problem with gathering/woodcutting. I suppose this issue may be closed now, as it was only a manifestation of 0605. :)

This one should be fixed for 0.31.06, and dwarves with this particular problem will snap out of it immediately in old saves loaded in 0.31.06. That only applies to individual training at this time, initiated by dwarves on their own.
